Company Description
Cyborg Mindset is a Business AI training and implementation company. We help founders, leadership teams, and B2B organisations build AI into how they actually work — through cohorts, workshops, and hands-on implementation engagements. We're small, early, and growing fast.
Role Description
The Forward Deployed Engineer exists to close the gap between what clients learn in our programs and what their business actually runs on. You turn "AI could probably help with this" into a system the client depends on every day.
You sit with a customer, understand how their business really runs, define the problem with them, and build the solution — in production, with their data, inside their constraints. There's no PRD waiting for you. The client tells you what they think they need; you figure out what they actually need, build it fast, and iterate until it's part of how they operate. You own the relationship and the code.
The stack is messy on purpose. You'll wire Claude into CRMs, WhatsApp, Google Workspace, spreadsheets that function as databases. We're a young company still writing our own playbook — you'll be a core part of that. Based in Bangalore, with occasional travel to client sites to work face to face with their teams.
What You'll Do
- Embed with clients to understand their workflows, constraints, and goals — then define the problem yourself
- Build production systems using LLM APIs (Claude, GPT), agent frameworks, MCP servers, and whatever integration glue the job demands
- Ship fast, iterate with the client, maintain systems they come to depend on
- Own engagements end-to-end: first conversation → deployed system → daily use
- Set up and manage client Claude Team/Enterprise accounts — seats, permissions, admin
- Support workshop and cohort delivery — demos, tooling, technical setup
- Spot patterns across clients and turn them into reusable playbooks and internal products
- Keep upskilling and bring us new ideas, tools, and implementations before we ask
What Success Looks Like
- First 30 days: you've shipped a working system at a live client — scoped small, deployed for real
- Every 90 days: the systems you shipped are in weekly active use by the client's team — adoption is the metric, not delivery
- By month 12: clients ask for you by name, and at least one engagement has renewed because of what you built
- Nothing fails silently: when something breaks, the client hears it from us before they notice it themselves
- Every few engagements produce a reusable asset — a playbook, template, or integration that makes the next one faster
Qualifications
- 1–3 years in a technical role — software engineering, solutions/implementation engineering, technical ops, or self-taught with proof of shipping
- Can read, modify, and debug Python, JavaScript, or Apps Script
- AI-native: you already work with Claude, Cursor, or similar daily, and you've built something with an LLM API — for yourself or someone else. This is a hard filter
- Comfortable across the stack, quick to learn unfamiliar systems
- Can explain a technical decisions to non-technical teams in simple language
- High ownership: you move without being asked
Stack
Day one: Claude/ChatGPT, Claude Code or Cursor, Google Workspace
Learned fast on the job: Claude API, MCP servers, Apps Script, Automation Tools, CRM Systems, webhooks/REST APIs.
Not required: a CS degree, big-company engineering experience, or ML model training background. We care about what you've built, not the title you built it under.
