Role Summary
Fastcurve is hiring Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) to operate at the intersection of Technology, Product, and Customer Outcomes.
This is not a traditional software engineering role.
FDEs work directly with customers to understand business problems, reshape workflows in real time, use AI to accelerate solution creation, and translate ambiguity into production-grade systems.
You will own the full loop:
Customer → Product → Build → Deploy → Learn
Role is most suited for Handson engineers/solution architects, who have worked as Product Manager or well versed with it.
What You Will Do
Customer Collaboration & Deployment
- Partner directly with customer stakeholders to understand goals, constraints, and workflows
- Modify systems, processes, and solution designs in real time to unblock adoption
- Translate customer feedback into deployable changes within hours or days—not quarters
- Communicate business value, ROI, stakeholder incentives, and rollout risks clearly
Product Thinking & Solution Design
- Convert ambiguity into structured requirements and execution plans
- Define workflows, operating models, and product decisions with customers
- Balance speed, quality, and business impact
- Create prototypes, specifications, and AI-assisted solution drafts
Deep Research & Domain Immersion
- Rapidly develop expertise in unfamiliar industries and problem spaces
- Apply first-principles thinking and structured problem solving
- Read and synthesize documentation, standards, technical material, and research
- Turn learning into actionable implementation decisions
AI-Assisted Engineering & Productionization
- Refine, validate, and productionize AI-generated output
- Build reliable systems across: Architecture, APIs, Data systems, Authentication & authorization, Business Logic, Workflows, Reports, Dashboards, Performance & edge cases
- Ensure delivery meets enterprise-grade quality standards

Preferred Experience
- 4–12+ years in Product, Engineering, Consulting, Architecture, Startup, TPM, Solutions, or adjacent roles
- Must have experience shipping customer-facing solutions
- Strong systems thinking and technical depth
- Familiarity with modern AI development workflows and coding copilots
- Excellent written and verbal communication
