Role Description The Forward Deployed Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ghaziabad. This role involves working closely with defence customers and internal engineering teams to deploy, configure, and support mission-critical software and systems in real-world operational environments. Day-to-day tasks include integrating software modules with existing platforms, troubleshooting technical issues in the field, performing system tests, and providing feedback to development teams for improvements and new features. The Forward Deployed Engineer will also document deployment procedures, support training and onboarding of end users, and ensure that solutions meet performance, reliability, and security requirements in demanding defence scenarios. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including hardware, AI, and operations, is essential to ensure seamless delivery and sustained mission readiness of deployed systems.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and operating systems.
- Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) using languages such as C++, Java, or Python.
- Experience with Back-End Web Development, including APIs, microservices, databases, and performance optimization.
- Ability to work on-site in Ghaziabad, supporting field deployments, testing, and customer interactions in operational environments.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, networking fundamentals, and Linux-based development and deployment environments.
- Comfort with debugging complex technical issues, using logs, monitoring tools, and profiling utilities to identify root causes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, clear technical communication, and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in defence, aerospace, robotics, embedded systems, or mission-critical applications is an advantage.
