About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) – Agentic AI to work directly with customers to design, build, integrate and productionise AI agent solutions within complex enterprise environments.You will design full-stack systems and AI agents, write production-grade code, support Day 2 operations across the Azure platform, and help keep mission-critical solutions healthy, secure, resilient, and cost-efficient. Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy full-stack systems and AI agents, writing production-grade code that moves solutions from prototype to stable production.
- Partner closely with customer teams to understand needs, scope work, sequence delivery, remove blockers early, and support successful adoption.
- Own technical delivery across deployments, making sound trade-offs between scope, speed, quality, and operational stability.
- Convert successful delivery patterns into reusable tools, playbooks, and technical building blocks.
- Share field feedback to help improve model, platform, and product performance.
- Maintain Azure platform services and virtual machines, including the GitHub server.
- Perform and verify GitHub server backups, using SRE agents to automate uptime checks and backup processes where possible.
- Monitor application performance through dashboards, partnering with developers to pipe crash logs and build meaningful operational visibility.
- Review RBAC access for personnel and maintain least-privilege access aligned to IAM and cloud security best practices.
- Produce cost reporting for the customer and monitor support tickets, service requests, and issues through to resolution.
- Support periodic customer-provided performance feedback by consistently meeting quality, delivery, and professionalism standards throughout the engagement.
- Complete all assigned, mandatory training within the timeframe provided.
Qualifications
- Production-grade software development proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or comparable technology stacks, with the ability to contribute directly in code.
- Experience building or deploying systems powered by LLMs, agentic AI, or generative AI models.
- Experience scoping and delivering complex systems in fast-moving or ambiguous environments.
- Customer-facing technical delivery experience, with the ability to communicate clearly with engineers, product teams, and customer stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience operating and maintaining Microsoft Azure platforms in production, including Virtual Machines, App Services, and Function Apps.
- Experience with Azure Container Apps and Azure Container Registry.
- Strong DevOps and CI/CD experience, particularly with GitHub Actions pipelines.
- Experience with Azure Monitor and Microsoft Sentinel for logging, monitoring, and security alert handling.
- Sound judgement under pressure and the ability to balance delivery speed, quality, security, and operational resilience.
- Preferred: Experience with agentic AI solutions and using SRE agents to automate operational tasks.
