Quick Summary:
We @ BeKnown are looking for a Forward Deployed Decision Scientist (for Amazon e-com).
This role is about building repeatable decision systems, while owning P&L outcomes for customers (e-com brands selling on Amazon globally).
If you'd like end-to-end ownership of building decision systems guided by data + deep domain context, using AI-native workflows, in a 0-1 environment, we'd love to hear from you. Experience in e-commerce (& specifically Amazon) is a bonus (if not, we'll get you up to speed quickly!) :)

About the role:
You will:
- Break down making Decisions into: Collecting customer data + context → enriching that with domain context into MECE buckets → weighing many buckets to hypothesize → auto-execute high confidence hypothesis → iterate with strong feedback loops
- Be customer facing & solve problems that most positively impact their P&L
- Split your time equally between (a) building decision systems (b) executing them for customers to improve their P&L
- Use AI-native workflows that can be scaled down the line
A note on domain context:
Deep context on Amazon ads & the general Amazon seller universe is necessary to do this job well. If you don't have it, don't worry, we'll invest in getting you there.

This role has a clear long-term path to leading our Amazon e-com vertical.
Who are we looking for?

C. Technical fit:
You can drive a general-purpose LLM (Claude, ChatGPT) to:
- Gather data (webscraping, browser automations etc)
- Store data (in the right raw & intermediary database tables)
- Transform data (SQL, Python, Gsheet/excel)
- Organise & structure nested documents
Bonus:
- Amazon ads / e-com P&L ownership experience is helpful but not required
- Experience managing external stakeholders
Location:
- Remote-first (option to relocate to Bangalore/Delhi later)
- Occasional in-person team gatherings

Interview Process:
- A 30-min mutual fit conversation
- Then a week-long paid project we build together, which should require 4 to 5 hours a day. We plan it with you on day one, work through it in the open, and review it together at the end. We will walk you through the full format before you commit to it.
