<div>Dental Assistant – Advanced Clinical & Specialty Support<br>Position Overview<br>The Dental Assistant – Advanced Clinical & Specialty Support role is designed for a highly<br>experienced assistant with strong clinical expertise and the ability to support advanced<br>procedures while contributing to production growth and efficient workflows. This position plays a<br>key role in maintaining a high-performing clinical environment through multi-column support,<br>specialty assisting, mentorship, and patient advocacy.<br>Key Responsibilities<br>Advanced Clinical & Specialty Assisting<br>● Provide chairside assistance for general, restorative, surgical, and orthodontic<br>procedures<br>● Support and assist with clear correct cases and perform clinical adjustments including<br>crowns, dentures, and occlusal guards<br>● Ensure efficient operatory setup, breakdown, and turnover to maintain consistent patient<br>flow<br>Production & Scheduling Support<br>● Collaborate with providers to strategically schedule procedures and support daily<br>production goals<br>● Independently manage a second column to improve efficiency and productivity<br>● Maintain smooth scheduling flow to minimize downtime and maximize provider utilization<br>Sedation Patient Advocacy<br>● Serve as a patient advocate during sedation procedures, ensuring safety, comfort,<br>and clear communication<br>● Assist with sedation workflows and ensure all protocols and documentation are followed<br>● Provide thorough pre- and post-operative instructions to patients and caregivers<br>Team Support & Mentorship<br>● Support onboarding and training of clinical team members<br>● Mentor assistants to maintain consistency, efficiency, and high clinical standards<br>● Provide support to new DDS providers to ensure smooth clinical flow<br>Operations & Workflow Efficiency<br>● Maintain organized, efficient operatories and clinical systems<br>● Identify workflow inefficiencies and contribute to process improvements<br>● Support consistency across procedures and team workflows<br>Inventory & Equipment Maintenance<br>● Assist in managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining proper stock levels<br>● Oversee clinical equipment maintenance, including troubleshooting and coordinating<br>repairs<br>● Ensure proper function of autoclaves, handpieces, and operatory equipment<br>Lab Coordination & Quality Control<br>● Coordinate with dental laboratories to ensure accurate and timely case completion<br>● Perform quality checks on incoming lab cases and follow up on outstanding work<br>Compliance & Safety<br>● Maintain adherence to OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols<br>● Ensure sterilization standards and documentation are consistently met<br>Patient Experience & Education<br>● Educate patients on procedures, orthodontic care, and post-operative instructions<br>● Support case acceptance through clear communication<br>● Deliver a high level of patient care and professionalism<br>Core Competencies<br>● Advanced Clinical & Specialty Assisting<br>● Multi-Column Efficiency & Productivity<br>● Orthodontic & Sedation Support<br>● Equipment & Inventory Management<br>● Workflow Optimization & Organization<br>● Strong Communication & Patient Care<br>● Team Collaboration & Mentorship</div>
