Work hours and expectations:
On/off-campus responsibilities any time between 6:00 am-8:00 am and/or between 2:00 pm and 5:30 pm Monday-Friday. Coaching responsibilities may result in extended weekday or weekend commitments, depending on the game and tournament schedule. All coaches are employed on a seasonal basis. Continued employment is based on annual performance reviews conducted by the Athletic Director(s).
Primary responsibilities:
Working closely with the athletic department and the middle school and high school basketball coaches, the middle school and high school basketball coach is responsible for initiating various aspects of the basketball program, including program development, training, working with team members, and collaborating directly with the head basketball coach. The coach is required to abide by the rules, regulations, and expectations established by Fort Worth Christian. All Employees must abide by our Statement of Faith and our handbook, both at school and off campus, at personal or non-personal functions. FWC is a member of TAPPS.
Specific responsibilities:
- Encourage, train, and coach the participants of the basketball program (Grades 6-8) or grades (9-12);
- Coordinate the development and promotion of the basketball program (Grades 6-8) or grades (9-12) in conjunction with the mission of the school;
- Organize and effectively implement practice sessions;
- Must have an encouraging, professional attitude at all times;
- Maintain a safe practice environment;
- Represent Fort Worth Christian and the basketball program in a professional manner and within the bounds of good sportsmanship;
This is a seasonal position that is paid a coaching stipend throughout the season.
