Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Forklift Operator role based in Kolkata. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to move raw materials and finished goods within the warehouse and production areas. Day-to-day tasks include loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials to designated storage locations, and supplying production lines with required materials. The role also involves assisting with packing, organizing inventory, and supporting shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely and accurate dispatch of products. The Forklift Operator is expected to follow all safety procedures, maintain equipment in good working condition, and collaborate with warehouse and production teams to keep operations running smoothly.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Forklift Operation skills, including safe driving, maneuvering in confined spaces, and basic equipment checks.
- Candidates should possess Material Handling and Unloading skills for moving, stacking, and storing materials efficiently and securely.
- Candidates should possess Shipping & Receiving skills for checking documentation, verifying quantities, and organizing incoming and outgoing goods.
- Candidates should possess Packing skills to prepare products for shipment, ensuring correct labeling, wrapping, and protection of materials.
- Relevant certifications or licenses for forklift operation, familiarity with warehouse safety standards, and experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment are beneficial.
- Ability to follow instructions, work in a fast-paced setting, perform basic record-keeping, and communicate clearly with supervisors and team members is expected.
