About the Role
The AI Forensic Analyst intern role involves working on innovative financial technology projects that combine domain expertise with cutting-edge tools. This role offers hands-on experience building real-world systems through project-based work in a FinTech startup environment.
Assigned Projects
Interns will work on four core projects during the programme:
Key Responsibilities
Conduct an Algorithmic Bias Audit for a credit scoring model used in financial decision-making. Design and implement a system to detect model drift and investigate performance degradation in a machine learning model over time. Conduct a comprehensive adversarial robustness assessment of a financial AI lending system by designing 15+ attack scenarios across 4 categories (data poisoning, model evasion, model extraction, and prompt injection), executing them against simulated model outputs, quantifying vulnerabilities with AI-CVSS severity scoring, proposing layered defence countermeasures, and producing a regulatory-grade investigation report. Conduct a comprehensive explainability and transparency audit of a financial AI insurance pricing system by applying advanced explainability techniques such as SHAP, LIME, and counterfactual analysis (DiCE) to interpret model decisions, identify hidden biases and proxy discrimination, and evaluate explanation quality.
Eligibility
Students enrolled in High School, Undergraduate, Postgraduate, or MBA programs from ANY academic discipline, or fresh graduates from any field. No prior work experience required. Self-motivated learners with an interest in FinTech and financial markets.
Qualifications
Programming skills in Python or R. Familiarity with machine learning concepts and model evaluation techniques. Understanding of financial AI systems and bias/fairness frameworks. Interest in adversarial machine learning, explainability (SHAP, LIME), and AI governance.

Internship Details
Duration: Self-paced. Options of 1, 2, 3, 4, or 6 months.
Type: Remote, Project-based.
Compensation: Unpaid. Certificate of Project Work Experience (Internship / Externship).
