Role Description The Foreign Medical Graduate Doctor will work full time on-site at AIWO’s facility in Chennai, providing clinical consultation and support for individuals enrolled in AIWO’s health and metabolic programs. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing patient histories, interpreting diagnostic reports, assessing metabolic health risks, and developing individualized care plans aligned with AIWO’s science-based protocols. The role involves explaining treatment plans and lifestyle recommendations to clients, monitoring progress, and adjusting interventions based on clinical outcomes and updated evidence. The doctor will collaborate closely with scientists, nutritionists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, holistic care, while maintaining accurate documentation and adherence to ethical and regulatory standards. Participation in internal case discussions, program refinement, and ongoing clinical education is expected.
Qualifications
- Foreign medical graduate with an accredited medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and eligibility to practice or work in a supervised clinical capacity in India.
- Strong foundation in internal medicine, endocrinology, or metabolic health, with the ability to assess and manage conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular risk, obesity, PCOS, and liver disease.
- Experience or keen interest in preventive medicine, lifestyle medicine, nutrition, and evidence-based integrative care.
- Ability to interpret laboratory results, imaging reports, and other diagnostic data to formulate personalized treatment and monitoring plans.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining complex medical concepts in clear, accessible language to diverse clients.
- Capacity to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams of doctors, scientists, nutrition experts, and health coaches.
- Strong clinical documentation skills, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Comfort with using electronic health records, digital tools, and data-driven approaches to track outcomes and refine care strategies.
- Demonstrated empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a client-centered approach to care.
- Willingness to engage in continuous learning and adapt to evolving science-based protocols and best practices.
