Role Description

KRA – FSSAI Executive (Regulatory & Compliance)
1. FSSAI License & Registration Management
  • Handle end-to-end FSSAI license applications on Food Safety and Standards Authority of India portal
  • Ensure timely renewal, modification, and tracking of licenses
  • Coordinate with authorities for approvals and query resolution
2. Packaging & Labelling Compliance
  • Review product labels as per FSSAI Labelling and Packaging Regulations
  • Ensure mandatory declarations (ingredients, nutritional info, veg/non-veg logo, FSSAI number, etc.)
  • Approve artworks before printing to avoid non-compliance
3. Regulatory Documentation & Audit Readiness
  • Maintain updated records of licenses, product approvals, and compliance documents
  • Prepare for internal/external audits and ensure zero non-compliance
  • Support documentation for new product launches (NPD team coordination)
4. Compliance Monitoring & Updates
  • Stay updated with new FSSAI guidelines, amendments, and notifications
  • Implement regulatory changes across products and packaging
  • Conduct periodic compliance checks across SKUs
5. Cross-functional Coordination
  • Work closely with R&D, Quality, and Design teams for label approvals
  • Guide internal teams on regulatory requirements and best practices 


Qualifications

Comprehensive knowledge of FSSAI regulations, food safety protocols, and regulatory documentation


  1. Skills in food product formulation, recipe R&D, and new product development
  2. Ability to perform quality checks, audits, and ensure compliance with industry standards
  3. Strong research and analytical skills for interpreting regulatory changes and market trends
  4. Proficiency in written and verbal communication for creating and reviewing reports, labels, and compliance documents
  5. Experience in cross-functional collaboration and team coordination
  6. Educational background in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree)
  7. Familiarity with global food industry regulations and trends is an added advantage
  8. Proven industry experience and a proactive approach to problem-solving
