Our factories own certifications including FSSC 22000, HACCP, BRC and are FDA registered. We are currently rebuilding and expanding our product portfolio and are looking for a passionate Food Technologist to join us at a foundational stage.

What You Will Do
• Develop, standardise and scale Rusingo's frozen product recipes.
• Work with factories closely to translate recipes into production-scale formulations
• Ensure all products meet FDA and CFIA requirements for USA and Canada — labelling, ingredient declarations, nutritional panels are met for RUSINGO’s brand positioning.
• Evaluate, onboard and audit co-manufacturers to Rusingo's quality and hygiene standards
• Conduct shelf life studies and stability testing for each SKU.
• Translate every opportunity to a shelf stable recipe across ambient, frozen category.
• Be the person on the factory floor and be part of the operations who makes sure what we promise our customers is what goes into every pack
What We Are Looking For
Non-negotiable:
• Degree in Food Technology, Food Science or a related discipline
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in frozen food manufacturing — not just ambient or shelf-stable products
• Direct experience working inside or closely with a frozen food factory (not purely desk / lab)
• Working knowledge of USA and/or Canada export requirements — FDA regulations, CFIA, cold chain standards
• Experience managing contract manufacturers / putting together a tech spec as requires for factory for sourcing
• Ability to closely work with Labs to ensure ingredient level quality spec is defined and met.
• Practical knowledge of FSSC 22000, HACCP or BRC food safety systems
• Based in Bangalore / Ready to travel.
Big plus if you also have:
• Experience with South Indian food products.
• Recipe reformulation experience — especially removing preservatives while maintaining shelf life
• Background setting up HACCP or FSSC documentation at a factory from scratch
• Network within the frozen food / food processing industry in South India
• CFTRI Mysore background — always a strong signal
