Role Description The Food Safety Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role is responsible for implementing and overseeing food safety and quality management systems across Craev’s R&D kitchen and production facility. Daily tasks include monitoring compliance with food safety regulations and standards, conducting inspections and audits, reviewing HACCP plans and process controls, and coordinating corrective and preventive actions. The Food Safety Manager will collaborate closely with production, R&D, and operations teams to ensure consistent product quality, safe manufacturing practices, and readiness for customer and regulatory audits. The role also involves training team members on food safety best practices, maintaining documentation and records, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in quality assurance and food manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Quality Assurance and Quality Management, with experience designing, implementing, and improving food quality systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Food Safety standards and regulations, including HACCP, FSSAI, and other relevant frameworks.
- Experience in Food Manufacturing and Food & Beverage operations, ideally within bakery or similar processed food environments.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Nutrition, or a related discipline.
- Proven ability to conduct audits, risk assessments, and root cause analysis, and to lead CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) activities.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and analytical skills, with attention to detail and process discipline.
- Ability to train and coach cross-functional teams on food safety and quality practices, and collaborate effectively with production and R&D stakeholders.
- Experience with certifications or standards (e.g., ISO, BRC, SQF) is an advantage, along with familiarity with B2B supply and industrial bakery operations.
