Job Description: Food Product Owner (Equity-Based) – Kefilo Role Overview
We are looking for a
Food Product Owner who will lead the end-to-end development of innovative, outcome-driven food solutions at Kefilo. This is not a traditional kitchen or recipe role — this position focuses on
building scalable, goal-oriented food systems that integrate with healthcare, technology, and consumer behavior.
The role will directly impact how India experiences
food as a solution for health transformation, not just consumption.
Equity Structure (Important)
- This is a pure equity-based role (no fixed compensation initially)
- 3–4 rounds of discussions → 1-month NDA-based working cohort → Co-founder/Leadership agreement
- Equity finalized post funding & Pvt. Ltd. registration
- 5-year vesting structure
- Fixed compensation begins post funding
- You will be part of a core 25+ member equity team being built from scratch
Key Responsibilities
- Build Goal-Oriented Food Systems (Core Focus)
- Design structured food programs aligned with specific outcomes (weight loss, PCOS, diabetes, clinical recovery, etc.)
- Move beyond “meal plans” to end-to-end transformation journeys
- Standardize food frameworks that can be replicated across cities
- Product Innovation & Differentiation
- Create unique food formats (ready-to-eat, smart meals, functional foods, event-based nutrition kits, etc.)
- Work on non-obvious innovations that reduce cost while maintaining effectiveness
- Collaborate with healthcare and research teams to build science-backed offerings
- B2B Food Solutions Development
- Design scalable food models for hospitals, clinics, and institutions
- Build plug-and-play food systems for places lacking proper nutrition infrastructure
- Customize offerings for different segments (patients, students, corporates)
- Standardization & Scalability
- Convert ideas into SOPs, processes, and replicable models
- Ensure consistency across kitchens, vendors, and delivery formats
- Build systems that can scale from pilot to multi-city operations
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with nutritionists, doctors, operations, and tech teams
- Support branding through product storytelling, events, and content
- Contribute to pilot programs, case studies, and product validation
Who Should Apply
- 2–6 years experience in food innovation, product development, cloud kitchens, or health-focused food brands
- Strong understanding of consumer behavior + food scalability challenges
- Experience in building systems, not just recipes
- Ability to think in terms of business models, not just products
- Prior exposure to healthcare, nutrition, or functional foods is a strong plus
