Role Description The Food Delivery Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Sivaganga, responsible for overseeing daily delivery operations and ensuring a high-quality customer experience. This role involves planning and scheduling delivery routes, coordinating with delivery partners, restaurants, and other vendors, and monitoring order fulfillment times. The manager will handle escalation of customer issues, maintain service quality standards, and ensure compliance with company policies and safety guidelines. They will track key performance metrics, analyze operational data, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reliability. The Food Delivery Manager will also recruit, train, and guide team members, fostering a collaborative and performance-focused work environment.
Qualifications
- Strong Program Management skills to oversee daily delivery operations, route planning, and process improvements.
- Proficient Analytical Skills to interpret operational data, track KPIs, and identify opportunities to optimize performance.
- Effective Communication skills to collaborate with customers, delivery partners, vendors, and internal teams.
- Proven Team Management experience in supervising, coaching, and motivating on-ground staff and delivery personnel.
- Consulting mindset to assess operational challenges, propose practical solutions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prior experience in logistics, food delivery, e-commerce, or last-mile operations is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site, handle field operations, and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Basic proficiency with mobile and web-based tools for order tracking, reporting, and communication.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in operations, business, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of local geography in and around Sivaganga and familiarity with Tier II/III consumer needs is an advantage.
