Company Description Burma Burma Restaurant & Tea Room is a Pan India specialty Burmese cuisine restaurant and tea room, bringing robust flavors and distinctive dishes from the streets and homes of Burma to guests across India. Founded by childhood friends Chirag Chhajer and Ankit Gupta, the brand currently operates 13 restaurants and delivery kitchens nationwide. Role Description The Food & Beverage Executive is a full-time, on-site role based at our Mumbai restaurant. This role oversees daily food and beverage operations, ensuring smooth service, consistent quality, and adherence to brand standards. Responsibilities include supervising the service team, coordinating with the kitchen, monitoring inventory and ordering, maintaining hygiene and safety standards, and managing guest queries and feedback. The Food & Beverage Executive supports menu promotions, implements standard operating procedures, trains team members, and helps drive revenue through excellent service and upselling. This role works closely with management to deliver a memorable, culturally rich dining experience that reflects Burma Burma’s values.
Qualifications
- Experience in food and beverage operations, including supervising service, coordinating with kitchen teams, and managing daily restaurant activities.
- Strong guest service and communication skills, with the ability to handle guest feedback professionally and maintain high hospitality standards.
- Knowledge of inventory management, ordering processes, and basic cost control to support efficient operations.
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and compliance with local regulations in restaurant environments.
- Ability to train, motivate, and support team members, fostering a positive, inclusive, and performance-driven work culture.
- Previous experience in premium casual or fine dining restaurants; exposure to specialty or regional cuisines is an advantage.
- Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by restaurant operations.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages in Mumbai is beneficial.
