Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Food and Beverage Teacher role based in Nainital. The Food and Beverage Teacher will design and deliver classroom and practical sessions on food and beverage service, restaurant operations, and related hospitality standards. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, developing teaching materials, demonstrating service techniques, and supervising practical training in labs or training restaurants. The role involves assessing student performance through assignments, practical exams, and projects, while providing constructive feedback and mentoring. The teacher will also contribute to curriculum improvement, support industry-linked activities such as guest lectures or visits, and participate in academic meetings, trainings, and institutional events.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Education and Teaching methodologies, with experience in hospitality or food and beverage instruction preferred.
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Training, including designing structured theory and practical sessions for diverse learning needs.
- Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly, engage learners, and provide effective feedback.
- Relevant academic qualification in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Food & Beverage, or a related field; advanced certifications in hospitality or pedagogy are an advantage.
- Hands-on experience in food and beverage operations or hotel management, with up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
- Ability to maintain an inclusive, respectful classroom environment and work collaboratively with faculty, administration, and industry partners.
- Comfort with basic educational technology and digital tools for presentations, assignments, and student evaluation.
