Driver’s License: Level 0- No Driver’s License required.
Rate of Pay: $15.00
Responsibilities
- Gets carts for players in advance of play.
- Assist players with golf bags as necessary.
- Ensure that all carts and the cart areas are clean.
- Cart-cleaning equipment Operates.
- Performs minor maintenance to include checking all cart fluids, batteries, and battery connections, tire pressure and related equipment daily.
- Fill sand bottles on the carts.
- Will assist Supervisors and Ranger/Starter as requested.
- Club cleaning when players are coming off the course.
- Recognizes that employees have certain personal responsibilities, which affect the operational efficiency of the Golf Course.
- Maintains proper attendance in accordance with Black Bear Casino, Hotel, & Golf Course Absent/Late Policy.
- Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems.
- Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers.
- Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community.
- Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
Qualifications
- No Driver’s License required.
- Participation in this program requires youth not younger than 16 years of age and not over 18 years of age. If a youth turns 19 during the season he or she may finish the year. The following season he or she may then apply for a regular position if one is available.
- Each district of the Fond du Lac Reservation will be represented by one youth hire.
- Must be able to work between 15 and 25 hours per week.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required.
- Operations are conducted seven days a week and on holidays.
- Subject to inside and outside environmental conditions. May be required to periodically work in a smoking environment.
- Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required.
- Attention to detail and accuracy is required.
- Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved.
- Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation’s Personnel Policies.
- Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:
- Normal Physical requirements.
- Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds is required.
- Prolonged standing and walking are required.
