About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated founding Backend Engineer specialized in GoLang to join our dynamic team. As a core member of our engineering group, you will play a pivotal role in architecting and building scalable, reliable backend systems that support our rapidly growing user base. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the technical direction of the company, work on complex challenges, and contribute directly to the product's success. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, data scientists, and product managers, to deliver innovative solutions that enhance our platform's performance and user experience.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment, are comfortable navigating ambiguity, and possess a strong problem-solving mindset. Your expertise will be instrumental in transforming vague problem statements into well-defined technical requirements and scalable solutions. As a founding engineer, you will have the chance to shape the company's technical culture, mentor junior engineers, and take ownership of critical features and infrastructure from inception to deployment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with GoLang in a production environment, ideally 3+ years, demonstrating a strong understanding of backend architecture and system design.
- Solid proficiency in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable APIs and microservices.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, and familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration systems like Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of database systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases, and experience with data modeling and optimization.
- Proficiency in implementing secure authentication and authorization mechanisms, including OAuth, JWT, and API security best practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control systems such as Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and devise effective solutions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Experience working in AI or education technology domains is a plus but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs to support our AI-driven education platform.
- Architect system components with a focus on scalability, security, and maintainability, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Collaborate with product and frontend teams to translate product requirements into technical specifications and deliverables.
- Implement and optimize database schemas, caching strategies, and data pipelines to handle large volumes of data efficiently.
- Integrate third-party services such as payment gateways (Razorpay, Cashfree), push notification services (FCM), and analytics tools.
- Ensure robust security practices are followed, including data protection, secure authentication, and authorization.
- Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and promote best practices within the engineering team.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to enhance reliability and scalability.
- Contribute to the development of internal tools and automation to streamline deployment, testing, and monitoring processes.
- Engage in continuous learning of emerging technologies and incorporate relevant innovations into our platform.
