Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Flutter Developer to design and develop high-quality mobile applications for Android and iOS.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Flutter, Dart, mobile application architecture, API integration and application performance optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter and Dart.
- Build responsive and reusable user-interface components.
- Integrate mobile applications with REST APIs and backend services.
- Implement authentication, notifications, file uploads and real-time features.
- Manage application state using suitable state-management frameworks.
- Optimise applications for performance, reliability and usability.
- Handle Android- and iOS-specific functionality when required.
- Write clean, modular and testable code.
- Troubleshoot application crashes and performance issues.
- Publish and maintain applications on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers and QA engineers.
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
Required Skills
- 2–5 years of mobile application development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Flutter and Dart.
- Experience developing and releasing Android and iOS applications.
- Strong knowledge of Flutter widgets, navigation and application lifecycle.
- Experience with state-management solutions such as Riverpod, Bloc, Provider or GetX.
- Experience integrating REST APIs and JSON-based services.
- Knowledge of local storage using SQLite, Hive or SharedPreferences.
- Experience with push notifications and Firebase services.
- Familiarity with Git and standard software-development practices.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with WebSockets or real-time communication.
- Knowledge of native Android using Kotlin or native iOS using Swift.
- Experience with maps, camera, location, payments or biometric authentication.
- Familiarity with unit, widget and integration testing.
- Knowledge of mobile application security and performance optimisation.
- Experience publishing and managing production applications in both app stores.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
Candidates with strong practical experience and demonstrable mobile applications will also be considered.
