About the Company

Flight Dispatch shall ensure that the flight operations officer/flight dispatcher when employed shall be trained in accordance with CAR Section-7, Series-M, Part-II. Refer Flight Dispatch Manual for detailed roles and responsibilities of Flight Dispatch Personnel.

About the Role

Will be responsible for all day-to-day Flight Dispatch related activities across the network.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the daily OTP reports of Flight Dispatch and take corrective action for Dispatch related issues.
• Reviewing of Flight Dispatcher’s training, Refreshers, observation flights and renewal of DGCA approvals.
• Shall review the training syllabus annually on the basis of operational requirement and make suggestions to the Training Department for upgrading the training.
• Compile the Manpower, Revenue and Capital Budget requirement.
• Keep abreast of all the latest developments in the Flight Dispatch areas and provide inputs for upgradation of Flight Dispatch.
• Set standards and procedures in respect of the functions of Flight Dispatch personnel.
• Shall ensure that all revisions and amendments to the regulatory documents shall be brought to the notice of all Flight Dispatch staff.
• Make a business case for services required from different service providers and submit to the VP-IOCC office for further consideration and follow up.
• Suggest automation processes to simplify and improve the systems and procedures.
• Shall liaise with external agencies to ensure that adequate aerodrome, ATC and Met related facilities are available.
• Shall nominate his deputy to officiate on his behalf in case of leave of absence.
• To ensure the functioning of Safety, Quality, Security and Compliance within the area of responsibility.
• Any other duties assigned by the VP-OCC.

Qualifications

Graduation (University Degree)

Required Skills

Familiarity with airlines operational systems and processes.
