Flexing It has partnered with Our Client - a group company of a leading Pharmaceutical firm is looking to engage with a Business Development Head from Petrochemicals & Oil Rigs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Business Development function for the petrochemicals vertical, with a focus on oil rigs and exploration assets.
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue strategic acquisition opportunities, particularly underperforming oil rigs in India and internationally.
  • Drive M&A strategy end–to–end–target identification, due diligence, financial evaluation, negotiations, and integration.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential acquisition targets in coastal regions globally.
  • Leverage existing network and build strategic relationships with key stakeholders in the global petrochemical and oil exploration sector.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams – legal, finance, technical – to execute deals smoothly.
  • Monitor and assess market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to identify new growth avenues.
  • Represent the company at international forums, trade shows, and industry conferences.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to align expansion strategies with overall business goals.



Skills Required

  • 15+ years of experience in business development, M&A, or strategy in the petrochemicals/oil & gas sector.
  • Proven track record of deal-making, especially with international assets or companies.
  • Deep understanding of upstream oil & gas operations, especially rig operations.
  • Strong global network in the petrochemical space, especially in coastal countries with active oil rigs.
  • Excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • MBA or relevant technical qualification preferred
