Flexing It has partnered with our client who is seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Director/Manager to oversee facility construction projects and lead the strategic execution of construction and capital improvement programs. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing large-scale facility construction efforts, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality project delivery while adhering to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and key stakeholders, to achieve organizational objectives and drive successful outcomes across multiple construction projects.


Work Model - Remote, open to Travel to Gujarat

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership:
  • Lead and manage the execution of large-scale facility construction and capital projects from inception to completion.
  • Establish project scopes, objectives, budgets, timelines, and key deliverables.
  • Oversee project lifecycle activities, including design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
  • Coordinate with executive leadership, government agencies, regulatory bodies, and external partners.
  • Strategic Planning and Governance:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for construction and infrastructure improvements.
  • Monitor and assess project risks, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure smooth operations.
  • Establish performance metrics, reporting mechanisms, and governance structures to track progress and accountability.
  • Budgeting and Financial Oversight:
  • Create and manage project budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Oversee procurement activities, contractor selection, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with cost controls and transparent financial reporting.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to align construction activities with broader organizational goals.
  • Coordinate communication efforts and stakeholder engagement to manage expectations and resolve conflicts proactively.
  • Quality, Safety, and Compliance:
  • Promote and enforce construction safety and environmental standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Conduct periodic site inspections to maintain quality assurance and mitigate risks.


Skills Required

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of experience in construction project/program management, preferably in large-scale infrastructure, institutional, or commercial facilities. Prior leadership experience in managing complex capital projects is essential.
