Job Title: Fleet Management System Lead / Manager

About the Role
Alphadroid is looking for a highly capable Fleet Management System Lead / Manager to support the development of our AMR/AGV software platform for warehouse and intralogistics automation.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in fleet orchestration, warehouse automation workflows, multi-robot coordination, software integration, and field deployment. This role requires both technical depth and practical understanding of warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the architecture of Fleet Management System for AMR/AGV solutions
- Develop and improve mission allocation, traffic control, battery/charging logic, and robot coordination
- Work with internal teams for robot communication, controls, UI/dashboard, and backend software
- Define node, zone, station, and traffic management concepts for warehouse use cases
- Develop system integration approach with WMS, ERP, MES, and third-party applications
- Support real project execution, testing, deployment, and commissioning at customer sites
- Prepare technical documents, workflow definitions, API requirements, and system specifications
- Contribute to product roadmap and feature prioritization for scalable FMS development
- Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement during live deployments
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–12 years of experience in AMR/AGV, warehouse automation, fleet management, WCS, WES, or related software domains
- Experience in companies such as GreyOrange, Addverb, Geek+, Swisslog, Dematic, KNAPP, TGW, or similar is preferred
- Strong understanding of:
- fleet management systems
- task allocation and scheduling
- traffic and congestion management
- charging management
- robot state handling
- warehouse workflow logic
- Good experience in WMS / ERP / middleware integration
- Good understanding of REST API, JSON, MQTT/WebSocket, and SQL databases
- Experience in real customer deployment / commissioning environments
- Ability to work across software, controls, and operations teams
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of VDA 5050
- Exposure to ROS / ROS2
- Experience in dashboard/UI coordination
- Knowledge of warehouse execution systems and intralogistics processes
- Strong problem-solving and system-level thinking
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field
