Job Summary:
The Senior Flavorist will lead development and optimization of flavor formulations for food and beverage applications, ensuring products meet customer requirements, sensory expectations, cost targets, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new flavor formulations and optimize existing products.
- Lead flavor creation for beverages, confectionery, bakery, dairy, and food applications for different categories.
- Conduct sensory analysis and establish flavor profiles.
- Guide junior team members and provide technical support.
- Evaluate raw materials and identify alternative ingredients for cost optimization.
- Coordinate with Production, QA, QC, Sales, and Procurement teams.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including FSSAI ,FEMA, and customer specifications.
- Manage formulation records, BOMs, specifications, and development documents.
- Support scale-up trials and commercialization activities.
- Participate in customer discussions and technical presentations.
- Monitor market trends and identify innovative flavor concepts.
Qualifications:
- B.Sc./M.Sc./M.Tech in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemistry, or related field
Experience:
- 5+ years experience in flavor development, preferably food applications.
Skills Required:
- Strong flavor formulation and sensory expertise.
- Knowledge of flavor regulations and food standards.
- Project management skills.
- Team handling and mentoring capability.
- Analytical problem-solving skills.
- ERP/SAP and documentation knowledge preferred.
