Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Fixed Wing UAV Engineer and Pilot based in Noida. The role involves designing, integrating, and testing fixed wing UAV systems, including airframes, propulsion, avionics, and payloads, to meet mission and performance requirements. The UAV Engineer and Pilot will conduct flight planning, pre-flight inspections, and on-site flight operations, including manual and autonomous missions, while maintaining strict safety and regulatory compliance. Daily responsibilities include troubleshooting system issues, analyzing flight data, performing routine maintenance, and documenting test results and technical reports. The role also requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to refine system performance, support field trials, train end users on safe UAV operation, and contribute to continuous improvement of UAV platforms for tactical and defense applications.
Qualifications
- Strong background in aerospace, mechanical, or electronics engineering, with hands-on experience in fixed wing UAV design, integration, and testing.
- Proven experience as a fixed wing UAV pilot, including flight planning, manual and autonomous flight operations, and adherence to aviation safety protocols and regulations.
- Proficiency in UAV-related software tools such as flight controllers, ground control stations, mission planning software, and basic familiarity with simulation or CAD tools.
- Ability to perform system diagnostics, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and carry out routine maintenance and field repairs on UAV platforms.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills, including the ability to interpret flight data and translate findings into technical improvements.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with engineering, operations, and end-user teams in high-stakes, mission-oriented environments.
- Willingness to work on-site in Noida and travel to test ranges or customer locations as needed, including field conditions typical of defense and security operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field; relevant certifications in UAV piloting or UAV systems are an advantage.
