About the role
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Databases team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance database solutions that power our data integration platform. You will work closely with our product and engineering teams to understand and address the evolving needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust, scalable, and reliable database systems and infrastructure
- Optimize database performance, scalability, and availability
- Develop and maintain efficient data ingestion and transformation pipelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions to complex data challenges
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing your expertise and best practices
- Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and industry trends
Required Skills and Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in database design, development, and optimization
- Proficient in SQL and database programming languages (e.g., PL/SQL, T-SQL)
- Extensive experience with data modeling, normalization, and optimization techniques
- Familiarity with cloud-based database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to think critically
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Passion for staying up-to-date with the latest database technologies and industry trends
