Job Summary: 

The Facilities Manager is responsible for the overall upkeep, functionality, and appearance of the park, ensuring a clean, safe, and fully operational environment for guests and team members alike. This role leads daily maintenance operations, oversees facility systems, and ensures all attractions and park infrastructure are properly maintained. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong mechanical aptitude, a passion for maintaining high-quality environments, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional guest experience through well-maintained facilities.

 

What will you be doing? 

  • Maintain and oversee attractions such as coasters, virtual reality systems, laser tag, simulators, bounce houses and other park features
  • Assist with troubleshooting complex mechanical or facility-related issues and support the team during escalations
  • Monitor and maintain facility systems such as lighting, HVAC, plumbing, POS hardware, and projection systems
  • Support safety initiatives, including fire drills, emergency preparedness, and corrective actions following inspections
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to preserve equipment, buildings, and park assets
  • Create and manage staff schedules to maintain proper coverage and timely completion of maintenance tasks
  • Manage inventory, order supplies and parts within budget guidelines, and track expenditures
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, including preventative maintenance logs and repair documentation
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs, upgrades, and specialized services
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all maintenance and facilities operations
  • Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of chemicals and maintain up-to-date Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
  • Assist with inventory management and tracking of tools and equipment
  • Ensure all team members follow safety procedures and properly utilize required protective equipment
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in park appearance, functionality, and guest comfort
  • Ensure the park grounds, storage areas, utility spaces, and work areas are consistently organized, clean, and well-maintained
  • Lead and direct the maintenance team to ensure all facility and attraction needs are completed efficiently and to a high standard
  • Conduct routine check-ins with staff to support performance, provide guidance, and encourage clear communication
  • Oversee the condition, cleanliness, and functionality of the entire park, including attractions, common areas, and back-of-house spaces
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including safety and environmental standards
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

 

Education: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

 

Qualifications: 

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Minimum of one (1) year of management experience in maintenance, facilities, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, general repairs, and preventative maintenance practices
  • Experience in maintaining guest-facing environments or entertainment venues is a plus

 

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Self-motivated with a hands-on leadership style
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods (up to 10-hour shifts)
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming park environment for all guests and staff
