Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Fitter Technician role based in Mundra. The Fitter Technician will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical components and structures used in solar equipment and plant facilities. Daily tasks include interpreting technical drawings, measuring and cutting materials, fitting and aligning mechanical parts, and performing routine inspections to ensure equipment efficiency and safety. The role also involves identifying and troubleshooting mechanical issues, supporting preventive maintenance activities, and coordinating with supervisors and other technical staff to meet project timelines. Proper adherence to safety procedures and documentation of work performed are integral parts of the position.
Qualifications
- Practical skills in mechanical fitting, assembly, and installation of industrial or solar equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and basic engineering specifications.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments safely and accurately.
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic repair practices.
- Understanding of workplace safety standards and willingness to follow safety protocols consistently.
- Minimum ITI, Diploma, or equivalent technical qualification in Fitter, Mechanical, or related discipline.
- Prior experience in plant, manufacturing, or solar industry environments is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work in a team, and readiness to work in shifts as required.
