Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Fitter role based at Midhani’s facilities in Hyderabad. The Fitter will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical components, equipment, and production machinery used in the manufacture of high-technology metals and alloys. Daily activities include interpreting technical drawings, performing mechanical fitting and alignment, conducting routine inspections, and carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance. The role involves using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to ensure precise fitting and adherence to safety and quality standards. The Fitter will collaborate with production and maintenance teams, document work performed, and follow all workplace safety, health, and environmental guidelines.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical fitting skills, including assembly, installation, alignment, and basic repair of machinery and components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and equipment manuals, with accurate use of measuring instruments.
- Experience in routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices, including safe use of tools, PPE, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Relevant technical qualification, such as ITI / vocational certificate or diploma in Fitter or Mechanical trade, from a recognized institution.
- Basic understanding of metals, alloys, and industrial processes; prior exposure to heavy engineering or metallurgical plants is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a team, follow instructions precisely, maintain documentation, and adapt to shift-based or production-oriented work schedules.
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity, with willingness to work on shop floor operations and comply with company quality standards.
