ROLE OVERVIEW
We are building a fitness experience where results, coaching, and technology come together seamlessly.
We’re looking for a Head of Fitness & Performance who can design, lead, and scale this ecosystem - from workout programming to coach training to tech integration.
This is a high-ownership, high-impact role for someone who understands both fitness science and scalable systems.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
-End-to-end ownership of fitness programming and member outcomes
-Design of structured systems across:
- Gym floor workouts
- Group fitness formats
- Personal training journeys
-Integration of fitness with technology and user experience
-Coach training, development, and standardisation
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. PROGRAM DESIGN & RESULTS
a. Design structured fitness programs for different goals:
- Fat loss
- Strength
- Endurance
- General fitness
b. Build progression systems:
- Weight increments
- Load tracking
- Intensity scaling
c.Ensure all programs are scientifically sound and results-driven
d.Create clear pathways:
Beginner → Intermediate → Advanced
2. PERSONALISATION & MEMBER OUTCOMES
a.Develop frameworks for personalised fitness plans
b.Define how members track progress:
- Strength
- Body composition
- Performance metrics
c.Ensure members see visible, measurable results
3. TECH & PRODUCT INTEGRATION
a.Work closely with product and tech teams
b.Translate fitness programs into digital journeys
c.Define what members:
d.Ensure seamless integration between:
App → Gym Floor → GX Classes → Personal Training
4. COACH TRAINING & STANDARDS
a.Train and certify coaches across all formats
b.Set standards for:
- Movement quality
- Progression logic
- Member safety
c.Run regular training and upskilling sessions
d.Ensure consistency across all coaches
5. FITNESS QUALITY CONTROL
a.Audit:
- Classes
- Gym floor coaching
- Personal training delivery
b.Ensure alignment with defined programming
c.Continuously improve based on data and feedback
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
-Minimum 8+ years of experience in fitness
-Strong foundation in:
- Anatomy
- Biomechanics
- Strength training
- Program design
-Experience building structured fitness systems
-Experience working with product/tech teams (preferred)
-Strong ability to train and develop coaches
-Analytical mindset with strong systems thinking
NON-NEGOTIABLES
- Deep understanding of human movement and training science
- Ability to build scalable systems (not just individual plans)
- Ability to simplify complex fitness concepts
- High ownership and attention to detail
