First Division Consulting (FirstDiv) is seeking a motivated Engineering Technician III to support the operation, inspection, and basic maintenance of United States Marine Corps (USMC) systems and vehicles, with a primary focus on Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) operation and Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS).

The technician will perform routine technical tasks in support of system readiness, including vehicle staging, movement, and basic troubleshooting. This role requires foundational technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to follow established procedures in both field and shop environments.

Required Skills and Responsibilities

Vehicle Operations & PMCS (Primary Duties):

  • Operate and maneuver USMC vehicles, including ACVs, for staging, transport, and maintenance support.
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) in accordance with technical manuals and established procedures.
  • Inspect vehicles and associated equipment for faults, deficiencies, and safety issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, faults, and maintenance actions.
  • Assist in preparing vehicles for operations, transport, and storage.

Technical Support:

  • Assist senior technicians with installation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of communications and electrical systems.
  • Perform basic cable handling and assist with simple fabrication tasks as directed.
  • Read and follow technical manuals, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Use standard hand tools and basic test equipment (e.g., multimeter) safely and effectively.

General Duties:

  • Follow established safety procedures, including electrical and shop safety practices.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspaces, tools, and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding task status and issues.
  • Support field and shop operations as required.
