Description
The Assistant General Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the dispensary while combining elements of our culture, strategy, quality, marketing, sales and profitability and implementing them throughout the facility. This position reports to the District Manager and will provide leadership and coaching to all core departments including security, sales, patient services, and inventory. The AGM will assist the DM with all strategies and tasks related to facilities, accounting, sales, marketing, and public relations. Responsibilities also include overall building appearance, cleanliness, comfort, functionality, safety, security, and the overall customer experience. The AGM will also ensure the dispensary’s compliance and all team members’ adherence to all laws and regulations concerning medical marijuana.
Requirements
Relevant Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Retail Management experience and/or pharmacy experience specifically in a high-growth environment
- Experience with medical marijuana program rules and regulations regarding dispensary management
- Experience with management coaching, training, and talent development
- Experience establishing strategic goals with key stakeholders and monitoring company and individual performance through KPIs and other metrics
- Demonstrated passion to serving the medical cannabis community
- Proficient in MS Office, Highly Proficient in MS Excel
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical and product-related information in a professional consultative manner
- Strong business acumen including data management, attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must maintain a high level of integrity, personal motivation, and sense of urgency
- After-hours work required to manage sales facing inventory and order entry
- Experience in a fast-paced environment and compliance driven
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to travel
- Clean driving record, and valid state driver’s license required
Physical Requirements:
- Long periods of prolonged sitting and standing
- Long periods of prolonged use of office equipment including computers and phones
- Requires normal range of hearing and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer
- May require lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally
Work Environment:
- Similar to a pharmacy or retail environment
- Constant interaction with internal and external stakeholders
