Housekeeping Supervisor
DUAL RATE DEFINITION:
The Dual Rate Housekeeping Lead job description will apply when assigned to that position by management. In all other circumstances, the Housekeeping Attendant job description will apply.
SCOPE OF POSITION:
Responsible for providing guidance and training assistance to Housekeeping Team Members, ensuring the complete inspection of guest rooms in accordance to the Four Diamond Standards. Ensuring company policies, procedures, and standards are adhered to in order to maintain the highest level of cleanliness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Completes daily room inspections to ensure the quality of room cleanliness is maintained to company standards. Addresses any shortfalls with Room Attendants and ensures all corrections are completed.
· Reports needed workorders.
· Ensures all Team Members are using the proper techniques with the use of chemicals, and ensures all chemical bottles have proper chemical labels.
· Evaluate the efficiency of Housekeeping Attendant tasks.
· Consistently communicates with Housekeeping Leadership to ensure proper planning is done so that all Team Members are assigned duties in a fair and just manner.
· Provide Housekeeping Team Members with required coaching and Supervision to carry out their duties effectively.
· Empowers Housekeeping Staff to deliver superior guest service by encouraging responsiveness to guest needs.
· Assists in maintaining guest service as the driving philosophy of the Hotel.
· Maintains all work areas and ensures Housekeeping equipment is functioning properly in accordance with safety standards. Reports hazardous conditions or broken equipment immediately to Housekeeping Leadership
· Ensures all Team Members comply with established safety standards when using equipment and supplies.
· Performs housekeeping attendant duties including Room Attendant, House Person or Laundry Attendant duties as required by the operation.
· Interacts with guests and other Casino departments professionally and courteously.
Maintains the highest level of confidentiality.
Adheres to the property’s lost and found policies and procedures. Immediately reports and turns over found items to Housekeeping Leadership in accordance to the Lost and Found procedures and policies.
Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record as outlined in the FireKeepers Casino Hotel Attendance Policy.

High School diploma or GED. Minimum 90 days active in a Housekeeping Attendant position. Ability to use industrial cleaning equipment and products. Excellent organization and Team Management Skills. Stamina to handle the physical demands of the job. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Ability to display the drive and passion to learn, as well as the ability to assume responsibility and create solutions with problem-solving. Ability to display guest service and Leadership skills. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and be creative in problem-solving solutions. Strong communication skills and time management skills. Must be able to utilize IPAD, IPOD to complete daily operations.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
