We're growing rapidly and looking for an ambitious, resourceful, and execution-driven AI Engineer to join our founding team. The Opportunity As a Founding AI Engineer, you'll work at the cutting edge of data extraction with AI. You'll build AI infrastructure (Agents, RAG pipelines, model fine-tuning and training), contribute to our open-source frameworks, and ship AI-driven products that power real-world applications. What You'll Do * Architect and optimize RAG pipelines, agent-based architectures, and other LLM-driven systems. * Fine-tune LLM models towards structured data extraction * Build developer-friendly APIs that power AI-powered web automation at scale. * Contribute to Firecrawl's open-source repositories * Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ship AI-powered features. * Stay at the forefront of AI research, incorporating state-of-the-art techniques into our platform. We crossed 19k GitHub stars in just 6 months and have had paying customers since day one. Previously, we built Mendable, one of the first commercially available "chat with your data" applications. We sold to companies like MongoDB, Coinbase, Snapchat, and more. To do this, we spent a surprising amount of time building reliable infrastructure for getting clean data from the web. When we started to see our founding friends rebuilding the same thing, we thought we might be on to something.
