Position 1: Fire & Life Safety Officer
📍 Location: Project Site (Residential Construction)
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect fire systems such as fire pumps, hydrant lines, sprinklers, alarm panels, detectors, and extinguishers
• Ensure fire protection systems are functional and ready for inspection
• Monitor fire alarm control panels and identify faults
• Conduct regular checks of pump rooms, hydrant valves, sprinkler lines, and fire tanks
• Coordinate with the MEP team for repair or rectification of fire system issues
• Maintain fire safety inspection logs and maintenance records
• Coordinate with the Fire Department during inspections
• Demonstrate operation of pumps, hydrants, and alarm systems during inspections
• Verify emergency exits, staircases, and refuge areas are clear and compliant
• Conduct fire drills and evacuation drills for staff
• Ensure fire extinguishers and safety equipment are placed as per the safety plan
• Support final fire safety inspections and compliance requirements
• Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations including the National Building Code of India
Qualification:
• Diploma/Degree in Fire & Safety / Mechanical / Industrial Safety
• Fire safety certification preferred
Experience:
• 3–5 years in fire safety for construction or real estate projects
• Experience with hydrant systems, sprinkler systems, fire pumps, and fire alarm panels
• Experience coordinating with fire department inspections
Preferred:
• Experience in high-rise residential or commercial projects
• Familiarity with fire safety standards such as those from the National Fire Protection Association
