Role Description The Fire Protection Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for supporting passive fire protection across building and infrastructure projects. Day-to-day tasks include assessing fire safety requirements, reviewing drawings and specifications, and recommending appropriate fire protection systems and materials. The specialist will coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure proper installation, inspection, and documentation of firestopping, cavity barriers, structural coatings, and related elements. The role involves verifying compliance with applicable codes and standards, and preparing technical reports and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Fire Prevention and Fire Safety, with an understanding of relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
- Candidates should possess skills in Fire Protection Engineering and Fire Suppression Systems, including system design concepts and performance requirements.
- Candidates should possess practical knowledge of Fire Extinguisher types, selection, placement, and maintenance standards.
- Diploma or degree in fire engineering, civil engineering, safety engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Experience in building or infrastructure projects, especially in passive fire protection or safety compliance, is an advantage.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and test reports.
- Good communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site with multidisciplinary teams.
- Willingness to work at construction sites, conduct inspections, and travel to project locations as required.
