Role Description The Fire Protection Engineer at The Chic Decor will ensure that interior design projects comply with fire safety and life safety standards from concept through completion. This full-time, on-site role based in Jaipur involves designing and reviewing fire protection systems, including fire suppression, detection, and alarm systems, in coordination with architects, designers, and contractors. Day-to-day tasks include conducting risk assessments, performing code and standards reviews, preparing technical drawings and specifications, and supporting approvals with local authorities. The engineer will inspect installations, verify system performance, and recommend improvements to enhance occupant safety. Collaboration, clear documentation, and regular site visits will be essential to integrate safety engineering seamlessly into the overall design vision.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong expertise in Fire Protection Engineering and Safety Engineering.
- Candidates should possess practical experience in Fire Safety and Life Safety planning and compliance.
- Candidates should possess skills in designing and evaluating Fire Suppression Systems.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in fire protection engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of national and local fire codes, building regulations, and industry standards.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in construction, interiors, or building services.
- Ability to prepare clear technical documentation, reports, and drawings.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Professional certifications in fire protection or safety (e.g., CFPS or equivalent) are an advantage.
