Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Fire Fighting Design Engineer role based in Mumbai. The Fire Fighting Design Engineer will be responsible for designing fire protection and detection systems, including hydrant networks, sprinkler systems, foam systems, gas suppression, and fire alarm systems in line with relevant codes and client requirements. Daily tasks include preparing detailed design drawings and layouts, performing hydraulic calculations, selecting equipment and materials, and coordinating with project, sales, and installation teams to ensure feasible and cost-effective solutions. The role involves reviewing site conditions, interpreting technical specifications, supporting tender and proposal documentation, and assisting in design revisions during project execution. The engineer will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain quality standards, support safety compliance, and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Design Engineering skills, including system design, layout planning, and technical documentation for fire protection projects.
- Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering skills relevant to piping, hydraulics, and equipment selection for fire protection and suppression systems.
- Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills for preparing accurate 2D/3D drawings, schematics, and models using industry-standard design tools.
- Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering skills related to fire alarm systems, control panels, and integration of detection and suppression controls.
- Candidates should possess Product Design skills to optimize fire safety components and system configurations for performance, safety, and maintainability.
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Fire, or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline) from a recognized institution.
- Knowledge of relevant fire safety standards and codes (e.g., NFPA, NBC, local statutory norms) and their practical application in design.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in calculations and drawings
