About the Role
We’re on the lookout for a Founding Backend Engineer who’s excited to build from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to join us at the earliest stage and play a critical role in shaping the architecture, culture, and future of the engineering team.

You’ll be working directly with the founders, making key technical decisions, and building robust backend systems using Python and TypeScript.

What You’ll Do

1. Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems from scratch
2. Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, designers, and product stakeholders to ship high-impact features
3. Define backend architecture, implement best practices, and set the bar for engineering excellence
4. Optimize APIs and data workflows for performance, scalability, and security
5. Participate in hiring and help build a world-class engineering team

What We’re Looking For

1. 5-8 years of backend development experience
2. Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript
3. Solid understanding of databases, RESTful APIs, and system design
4. Experience building production-grade systems in fast-paced environments
5. Startup mindset — comfortable wearing multiple hats and working with ambiguity
6. Bonus: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), CI/CD, and containerization
