We are seeking a talented Founding Backend Engineer proficient in Python and TypeScript to play a pivotal role in building our backend systems. This is an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of our founding team, contributing to the design and development of the backend infrastructure that powers our platform.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop, deploy, and maintain scalable backend systems to support our fintech platform.
2. Collaborate closely with the founding team to shape product architecture and strategy.
3. Optimize code for performance, scalability, and security.
4. Contribute to the technical direction of the company as an early engineering team member.
5. Maintain high coding standards, conduct code reviews, and ensure best practices are followed.

Required Skills & Experience:

1. Proficiency in Python and TypeScript.
2. Strong understanding of backend development, including database management, APIs, and server-side logic.
3. Experience in designing and building scalable applications.
4. Familiarity with security best practices in the fintech space.
5. A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Prior experience in the fintech industry.
2. Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, GCP, etc.).
3. Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
