We are looking for a strategic and results-driven AVP - Finance to lead financial planning, analysis, and business finance functions.
This role will play a key part in driving financial strategy, P&L ownership, and business decision support, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Leadership:
- Partner with senior leadership to define and execute financial strategy aligned with business goals.
- Drive long-term financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Provide strategic insights to support business expansion, investments, and cost optimization.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
- Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives and decision-making.
- Monitor financial performance and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
P&L Management
- Own and manage P&L responsibilities for business units or the organization.
- Analyze revenue streams, cost structures, and profitability drivers.
- Identify opportunities to improve margins and operational efficiency.
Business Finance & Partnering
- Act as a finance business partner to cross-functional teams (sales, product, operations).
- Support business decisions through financial analysis and scenario planning.
- Drive data-backed decision-making across the organization.
Financial Reporting & Governance
- Oversee preparation of financial reports, MIS, and dashboards.
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Maintain strong internal controls and governance frameworks.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with leadership, investors, and external stakeholders.
- Present financial insights, reports, and recommendations to senior management.
- Support fundraising, investor relations, and board-level discussions (if applicable).
Process Improvement & Automation
- Drive automation and improvement in financial processes and systems.
- Implement best practices in financial planning, reporting, and Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (mandatory)
Preferred Certifications
- CA (Chartered Accountant)
- CMA / MBA (Finance)
Experience & Skills
- 8-10 years of experience in finance, FP&A, or business finance roles
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management
- Experience in stakeholder management and business partnering
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Preferred Experience
- Experience in BFSI, fintech, startups, or high-growth organizations
- Exposure to fundraising, investor relations, or strategic finance
