Roles and Responsibilities:
- Analyze accounting standards and complex transactions, and provide inputs for finalizing appropriate accounting treatment and guidelines.
- Prepare reconciliation of Profit / Net Assets under Ind AS and IFRS.
- Prepare and share required financial information with group companies.
- Collate inputs from SSC, Corporate, and Circles for preparation of consolidated financial statements.
- Monitor and maintain the Hyperion consolidation tool, including issue resolution and system enhancements.
- Ensure standardization of accounting policies and practices across all circles and business units.
- Review Chart of Accounts and take corrective actions for any discrepancies.
- Review Material Master data and its mapping with GL codes, and address any disconnects.
- Regularly analyze changes in reporting requirements, assess impact on the company, subsidiaries, joint ventures, and associates, and implement changes in consultation with Top Management.
- Drive system and process improvements in financial reporting.
- Provide support and information for regulatory, DoT, CAG, and tax audits.
- Liaise with statutory auditors to ensure smooth quarterly and annual audits.
- Provide inputs related to ERP integration and reporting alignment.
- Benchmark accounting policies and disclosures with industry peers.
Skills Required:
- In-depth knowledge of financial consolidation and reporting.
- Strong understanding of compliance requirements for listed companies.
- Technical expertise in Ind AS and IFRS.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, SAP, and Hyperion.
- Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
