Key Responsibilities
- Review draft financial statements for hedge and private equity, real estate funds under US GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant standards for varying levels of complexity.
- Develop, document and institute procedures to make process more efficient and standardized, saving time and money.
- Manage a team of high-volume, deadline and production driven environment, all while maintaining 100% accuracy.
- Provide ongoing and continuous training, motivation and development of all team members to maintain high client service standards.
- Effective use of resources within the team, establishing goals and objective of the team.
- New hiring, process training to new staff, people issue, performance management, KPI etc.
- Prepare weekly management report.
- Resolve queries raised by Onshore, Client, Auditor and Director.
- Managing a team of 3 to 5 Associates, Senior Associates and supervisors (below level).
- Define the timeline of financial statements with onshore.
- Responsible for client communication and implementation of new regulatory requirements/disclosures that impact the financial statements.
- Monitor day-to-day management of team members and actively manage and maintain successful long- term relationships of assigned clients.
- Responsible for quality management, key-risk mitigation and resiliency, and monitoring effective utilization of resources.
- Train the team to ensure quality services to clients.
- Drive career growth within the FR team through clear career development plans, regular coaching, and ongoing feedback. Leaders are expected to actively mentor team members, support skill development.
Projects Management
- Plan and execute special projects focused on process efficiency.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (IT, Operations, etc.) to gather requirements, manage timelines, and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Establish and implement best practices for project tracking and reporting.
Key Qualifications
- 10-12 years of hands-on experience in handling financial statements for investment funds (hedge and private equity funds) including 5 6 years of people management.
- Exposure on multiple GAAPs, multiple jurisdictions, end to end Financial Reporting in Hedge Fund, Private Equity, Real Estate etc. and to working with senior management.
- In-depth understanding of fund structures and the fund administration industry.
- Should have a prior experience in managing and mentoring team.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Preferred professional qualification, CA, CPA, ACCA, MBA (Finance), or any course specialized in accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional diligence and ability to perform under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Positive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset, eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
