We are seeking a highly analytical and technically proficient Financial Data Analyst to lead the reporting and analysis of portfolio performance and investor data. This role is responsible for extracting complex data from SQL databases and transforming it into high-stakes investor deliverables, including Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs), Track Record reports, and Briefcase summaries.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong foundation in Accounting or Financial Analysis, combined with advanced SQL and Excel skills. This is a fully remote position requiring a permanent night shift to align with U.S. business hours.
Role Details
- Location: 100% Remote
- Working Hours: 8:00 PM – 5:00 AM IST (Night Shift)
- Target Industry: Asset Management / Private Equity / Real Estate Investment
Key Responsibilities
- Financial & Investor Reporting: Prepare and maintain comprehensive performance reports, investor track records, and DDQs with absolute accuracy and professional formatting.
- Data Extraction & Analysis: Write and optimize SQL queries to extract raw financial data from ERP, CRM, and internal databases for downstream reporting.
- Excel Modeling: Build and maintain sophisticated Excel models using advanced formulas, macros, and pivots to transform SQL data into investor-ready formats.
- Reconciliation & Integrity: Apply accounting principles to perform rigorous financial reconciliations, ensuring SQL data matches final reports and ledger records.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present findings and reporting logic clearly to U.S.-based teams. Respond to complex investor inquiries with high-quality written English.
- Quality Control: Audit manual Excel processes (macros/scripts) to identify logic gaps and improve data reliability.
Required Skills & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Technical Expertise:
- Mandatory SQL Proficiency: Must be able to write complex queries (joins, CTEs, subqueries) independently.
- Advanced Excel: High-level modeling, data manipulation, and VBA/macros.
- Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and portfolio metrics (e.g., IRR, MOIC, NAV).
- Language Skills: Fluent English with exceptional verbal and written communication skills (critical for writing DDQ narratives).
- Experience: 3–6 years of experience in financial reporting or data analysis within a professional investment setting.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance or equivalent experience
- 2 - 5 years' financial analysis and modeling experience
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
