About the Role
Owns FP&A's outcomes end-to-end. FP&A delivers financial planning & analysis — owning the numbers that run the business: budgeting, forecasting, variance, P&L and margin tracking, deal-desk pricing, board and MIS reporting, and the financial-risk register. A player-coach — the function's current lead specialist — who also manages the team of 2-3, owns its calendar and SLAs. The role exists to make the function deliver its results without depending on any one person.
Key Responsibilities
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and variance at org/account/practice level;
- Own P&L and margin (T&M and Fixed-Bid) tracking, non-billable cost, and margin-improvement.
- Own the deal desk & pricing (rate/milestone computations, deal-review margin/risk).
- Own board & MIS reporting and ad-hoc analysis.
- Own the financial-risk register.
- Operate and certify the MIS; own metric-pipeline integrity.
Outcomes Owned
The function's owned metrics; team development; operational calendar adherence.
Must-Have
- 8+ years in the function's domain including people leadership of a small team.
- Demonstrated ownership of the function's outcomes (its numbers/SLAs), not just activities.
- Strong analytical capability and senior-stakeholder management.
- Graduate/post-graduate; relevant professional qualification.
- Experience in IT Services preferably in organisations greater than 300 up to 2000 associates. Experience in larger IT organisations will be a plus
Good-to-Have
- Experience standing up or transforming an operations function.
Skills, Tools & Certifications
Technical & tools: mastery of FP&A's craft (financial modelling, P&L and pricing); financial modelling, P&L build-up, bucket based forecasting, variance analysis, margin bridges, Excel + Power BI; people leadership; analytics.
