Assistant Director – Financial Due Diligence (FDD)
Position Overview
The Assistant Director is a strategic leadership role focused on high-stakes deal delivery, client relationship management, and practice development. You will advise C-suite executives and Private Equity partners on complex, cross-border, or multi-billion-dollar transactions while fostering a culture of innovation and data-driven insights within the firm.
Experience: 9–12 years (Post-CA) | 11+ years (MBA/CFA)
Location: Bangalore
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to C-suite clients and PE partners, identifying critical deal-breakers, valuation impacts, and post-transaction integration/separation risks.
Complex Transaction Oversight: Lead cross-functional assignments spanning FDD and FSO banking regulations, as well as complex multi-jurisdiction carve-outs.
Practice & Capabilities Growth: Drive the digital transformation of the FDD practice by implementing scalable Alteryx, Power BI, and analytical frameworks across the broader team.
Business Development: Support Partners in client pitches, proposal writing, fee scoping, and identifying add-on advisory opportunities with existing clients.
People Architecture: Actively manage performance, career progression, and retention of Managers and Associate Managers within the practice.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications
Education: Qualified CA, MBA (Finance) from a top-tier school, or CFA Charterholder.
Background: Extensive, deep-rooted tenure at Big 4 or elite specialized consulting practices (A&M, Kroll, etc.) handling large-scale corporate or financial-sector transactions.
Capabilities: Exceptional executive presence, powerful negotiation skills, and a forward-thinking mindset regarding the deployment of M&A data analytics.
