About The Role
The Finance Controller will oversee the financial operations of the cement equipment manufacturing and trading business in India. This includes ensuring that financial reporting is completed accurately and on time, performing financial analysis, coordinating the local budget and forecasting processes, overseeing the internal and external activities of record keeping and reporting to management and Group Finance, ensuring statutory compliance, and co-ordinate with different local teams and Genpact team. The role demands deep understanding of project-based accounting. You will report to Senior Finance Manager, India and Asia
Your Responsibilities :
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with US GAAP, IFRS and Ind AS
- Ensures the quality and timely completion of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting using OneStream and validating the quality of the underlying data prepared by Outsourcing partner Genpact
- Handle Group, statutory and tax audits and act as primary contact for auditors
- Maintain strong internal control systems and ERP-based accounting structures (D365 or Oracle preferred).
- Co-ordinate with Tax team on tax matters and ensure compliance.
- Partner with Genpact to address periodic issues and work to improve operational procedures
- Drive preparation of quarterly and annual budgets and periodic forecasts for manufacturing, trading, and service operations.
- Prepare monthly MIS reports including order book analysis, project-level profitability analysis and margin tracking
- Preparation of different reporting to Manufacturing team on periodic basis
- Preparation of Cash flow statement
- Co-ordinate with different teams (example BI, Business teams, IT teams, Project controlling team, company secretary and others)
- Ensure all LLP compliances
- Oversee inventory accounting, raw material costs, and production variances
- Ensure correct Revenue recognition
- Variance analysis-Actuals vs forecast and provide explanations
- Balance sheet and P&L explanation for actuals and reporting to the Group
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls including periodic sign off
- Periodic inventory valuation and verification
You bring
- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) mandatory.
- Experience: 6–8 years of progressive finance experience in Controlling and Audit
- Self-starter comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving roles and responsibilities.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving and strong organization and communication skills.
- Manufacturing accounting experience is highly desirable, specially POC and WIP concepts.
- Comfortable performing hands-on tasks
- Oracle and/or OneStream experience will be added advantage
