Job Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Treasury & Liquidity Management -
• Monitor daily cash balances and maintain an accurate cash position across all bank accounts.
• Prepare rolling cash flow forecasts (daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly).
• Ensure sufficient liquidity for salaries, vendor payments, taxes, and operational requirements.
• Identify short-term funding gaps and recommend financing solutions.
2. Fund Planning & Capital Allocation -
• Develop fund deployment plans aligned with business priorities.
• Evaluate how available cash should be allocated between operations, growth initiatives, and contingency reserves.
• Support strategic decisions related to capital expenditure, expansion, and investments.
3. Payment Planning & Working Capital Control -
• Prepare and manage structured payment schedules.
• Prioritize payments based on urgency, contractual commitments, and cash availability.
• Optimize payment timing while maintaining healthy vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with operations and sales teams to improve collections and reduce receivable aging.
4. Investment of Surplus Funds -
• Identify low-risk investment options such as fixed deposits, overnight funds, and liquid mutual funds.
• Recommend investment strategies to maximize returns while preserving capital and liquidity.
• Track investment maturity schedules and returns.
5. Banking & Financial Institution Management -
• Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
• Negotiate interest rates, banking charges, credit facilities, and treasury products.
• Evaluate working capital lines, overdrafts, and other financing instruments.
6. MIS & Management Reporting -
• Prepare daily cash reports and weekly treasury dashboards.
• Present fund utilization reports and liquidity projections.
• Provide actionable insights to management on cash optimization opportunities.
7. Risk Management & Internal Controls -
• Monitor liquidity risk and develop contingency funding plans.
• Ensure treasury transactions are appropriately approved and documented.
• Strengthen controls around payments, investments, and bank reconciliations.
8. Compliance & Governance -
• Ensure timely payments of statutory dues, including GST, TDS, PF, and Income Tax.
• Maintain compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualification and Experience:
• Experience in startups or high-growth companies
• Exposure to logistics, technology, or SaaS sectors
• Hands-on experience with fundraising support and investor reporting
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modelling
• Strong understanding of cash flow forecasting and treasury operations
• Knowledge of banking products and short-term investment instruments
• ERP systems such as Zoho Books, Tally, NetSuite, or SAP
• Power BI or MIS reporting tools
• Chartered Accountant (CA)
