Role Overview:
Lead the finance and accounting function for a rapidly growing GCC of a US-based multinational. Partner with global stakeholders and service providers to ensure strong financial governance, operational excellence, compliance, and business support. The role reports to the CFO.
Candidate must have experience in setting up GCC finance process
Key Responsibilities:
- Own financial planning, performance, reporting, and governance for the GCC.
- Analyse financial trends, variances, and business performance and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide financial guidance for strategic projects, expansion plans, and business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation, audits, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee cash flow, banking, treasury, and foreign exchange activities.
- Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting to management and global stakeholders.
- Manage relationships with US counterparts, GCC leadership, and other key stakeholders.
- Establish strong service delivery standards and ensure agreed SLAs are met.
- Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, policies, controls, and operating practices.
- Identify risks early and implement effective mitigation measures.
- Develop meaningful operational metrics and provide visibility into India/GCC performance.
- Support organisation-wide strategic and transformation initiatives beyond Finance.
- Build, develop, and retain a high-performing finance team.
- Set performance goals, manage capability development, address performance issues, and strengthen employee engagement.
- Drive process excellence by adopting relevant industry practices and quality frameworks.
Experience & Qualifications:
- 18+ years of overall experience, including 5+ years in senior finance leadership roles.
- CA or MBA with Finance specialisation from a reputed institution.
- Experience working in multinational, captive/GCC, or offshore delivery environments.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, Indian Accounting Standards, IFRS, SOX, and Indian tax regulations.
- Experience with finance/accounting technology platforms.
- Exposure to technology, BPO/back-office operations, and multi-geography environments.
- Demonstrated success in business transformation, process improvement, and quality initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-cultural communication skills.
- Proven ability to build, develop, and retain talent in a GCC/GIC environment.
- Innovative, commercially oriented, and results-driven leadership approach.
